Boathouse Capital Completes Growth Investment in Stravos Education

Boathouse Capital is pleased to announce that it has completed a $15 million growth investment in Sacramento-based Stravos Education, (“Stravos”) or (“The Company”).

Stravos owns and operates educational services companies that provide academic preparedness, enrichment opportunities and consulting services across multiple companies in the U.S. and United Kingdom. At the heart of the Stravos ethos is a student-centric approach that focuses on helping students build confidence, hone strategic skills, and achieve academic success. The firm currently works with over 4,000 students annually.

“We are excited to partner with Boathouse as we continue to expand our services through new curricula and technology in our shared efforts to close the achievement gap,” said Billy Downing, Stravos CEO and Sacramento native.

“Capital from this investment will help Stravos to continue to execute on its buy and build strategy across the very fragmented educational ecosystem,” noted Downing.

Bill Dyer, Managing Partner at Boathouse Capital, remarked, “Billy and his team have established themselves as a priceless value-add for thousands of students nationwide, and we are thrilled to leverage our experience in the education sector to support the continued growth of the company. We look forward to exploring additional M&A opportunities for Stravos, in addition to augmenting the services that it provides to its many students.”
